New page

Ok so I had an idea in regards in regards to a new competition & the impending release of Visionaire Studio 3.8 & the fact that this release will have undergone a very major overhaul in terms of new features, bug fixes & of course, becoming a cross platform application. So my idea is that we hold a competition in which the winners game will get featured as the demo game that comes with Visionaire Studio. It is great exposure for the developer/team & it can only reflect well on us too. Of course we would have to define some very clear rules as we can't just accept anything to use as the demo game.

Here's some of the ideas/rules I think should be included...

* Has to contain a fully functional menu & at least 3 complete scenes/rooms
* Has to contain at least one fully animated character
* Has to made with a resolution of at least 1024x768 or higher
* Artwork can be either 2D or 3D; as long as it looks good
* Demo can be done in either third or first person
* Any Unfinished projects before time limit is up will be void
* Hidden object games are not allowed; I hate them & they are not hard to make
* Current time frame in mind is 3 months but could be extended if next VS version is nowhere near release by then
* Lua is not a requirement; but showcasing examples of Lua at work in the demo would be a bonus

I don't currently have a theme or anything in mind as I don't think it really matters all that much as long as the demo is good, looks good, plays well & contains little to no bugs.
